Terms & Conditions of sale

1. Purpose and Scope

These Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms”) govern all bookings and purchases of services offered under the Manuela in Puglia brand through the website www.manuelainpuglia.com, as well as any booking made by email, telephone or any other communication channel.

By booking any service, the Client fully accepts these Terms and Conditions.

The exact location of the courses or language stays will be communicated upon confirmation of the booking.

3. Services Offered

Manuela in Puglia offers, among others:

  • Individual Italian language lessons;
  • Small-group Italian language courses;
  • Italian language stays in Puglia;
  • Cultural and immersive experiences in Southern Italy;
  • Workshops, guided visits and activities designed to promote Italian language learning and cultural immersion.

The description, duration, schedule and prices of each service are available on the website or communicated before confirmation of the booking.

4. Booking Conditions

Bookings may be made:

  • through the contact form available on the website;
  • by email;
  • by telephone;
  • or by any other communication method agreed upon with the Service Provider.

A booking becomes confirmed only after:

  • written confirmation from Manuela in Puglia;
  • and, where applicable, receipt of the required deposit.

5. Prices

All prices are expressed in Euros (€).

Prices include VAT where applicable, or are subject to the Italian tax regime in force.

Manuela in Puglia reserves the right to modify prices at any time.

However, the price confirmed at the time of booking shall remain applicable.

6. Payment Terms

Depending on the selected service, payment may be made:

  • in full at the time of booking;
  • by deposit followed by payment of the balance before the beginning of the course or language stay;
  • or according to the payment conditions agreed during the booking process.

Payments may be made by:

  • bank transfer;
  • Stripe;
  • or any other payment method accepted by Manuela in Puglia.

Any service that has already commenced remains fully payable.

7. Cancellation or Modification by the Client

Any request for cancellation or modification must be submitted in writing by email.

Italian Language Courses

Any cancellation made less than 48 hours before the scheduled lesson may be charged in full, except in cases of duly justified force majeure.

Language Stays

Specific cancellation conditions applicable to each stay will be communicated during the booking process.

Deposits already paid may be retained to cover expenses already incurred.

Late cancellations may result in additional charges depending on reservations already confirmed with local partners.

8. Cancellation or Modification by Manuela in Puglia

In the event of illness, force majeure, unforeseen circumstances or an insufficient number of participants, Manuela in Puglia reserves the right to postpone or cancel a service.

In such cases, the Client may choose between:

  • an alternative date;
  • a credit voucher;
  • or a refund of the amounts already paid for the cancelled service.

No additional compensation shall be payable.

9. Participation in Courses and Language Stays

Participants undertake to respect:

  • the agreed timetable;
  • safety instructions;
  • the venues visited;
  • other participants;
  • local partners and service providers.

Any behaviour considered inappropriate, disrespectful or likely to disrupt the proper organisation of the course or stay may result in immediate exclusion without reimbursement.

10. Liability

Manuela in Puglia is bound by an obligation of means rather than an obligation of results.

Every reasonable effort is made to ensure the quality of the services provided.

However, no guarantee can be given regarding the Client’s progress in learning the Italian language.

Manuela in Puglia cannot be held liable in particular for:

  • force majeure events;
  • adverse weather conditions;
  • cancellations by local suppliers;
  • transport delays;
  • loss, theft or damage to personal belongings;
  • accidents caused by the participant’s own behaviour.

11. Insurance

Each participant is responsible for obtaining appropriate insurance covering, where applicable:

  • personal liability;
  • medical expenses;
  • accidents;
  • travel cancellation;
  • luggage.

Manuela in Puglia strongly recommends that participants take out comprehensive travel insurance before travelling to Italy.

12. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with European consumer legislation, consumers generally benefit from a 14-day withdrawal period for distance contracts.

However, pursuant to the provisions of the Italian Consumer Code (Codice del Consumo), this right does not apply to certain leisure activities, accommodation or services scheduled for a specific date.

Where the Client requests that the service begin before the expiry of the statutory withdrawal period, the Client expressly acknowledges that the right of withdrawal may no longer apply.

13. Intellectual Property

All content available on the website, including texts, photographs, logos, graphics, videos, educational materials and downloadable documents, remains the exclusive property of Manuela in Puglia.

Any reproduction, distribution or use without prior written permission is strictly prohibited.

14. Personal Data Protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the applicable Italian legislation.

15. Complaints

Any complaint relating to a service must be submitted in writing to:

Manuela in Puglia undertakes to seek an amicable solution whenever possible.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by Italian law.

In the event of a dispute, the parties shall first endeavour to resolve the matter amicably.

Failing such resolution, the competent Italian courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection provisions.

17. Amendments to the Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions may be amended at any time to reflect legal, regulatory or operational changes relating to the services offered.

The version published on this website at the time of booking shall apply.
